Terms of Use

1. Purpose of the service

Speedtype provides informal typing practice, personal history, a Daily challenge, a bot Race, and private multiplayer rooms. Scores are practice estimates. They are not professional, academic, employment, medical, or ergonomic certification.

2. Accounts

Practice and Race do not require an account. Firebase sign-in with Google or email and password is required for features that associate data with a user, including cloud history, Daily, and private multiplayer rooms. You are responsible for activity under your account and should report suspected unauthorized use to appspeedtype@gmail.com.

3. Fair use

You must not:

• submit automated or manipulated typing results;
• attempt to access another user's data or a private room without permission;
• interfere with Firebase, hosting, authentication, or application security controls;
• use the service to distribute malicious code or unlawful content;
• overload the service or use it in a way that prevents normal use by others.

4. Scores and availability

Passage, duration, language, keyboard, input method, browser behavior, corrections, and network conditions can affect a result. The published methodology describes current calculations, but software defects can still occur. Features, stored results, and service availability may change while the product is maintained.

5. Content, feedback, and intellectual property

Speedtype's interface, documentation, scoring implementation, and maintained practice passages are product content. They may not be copied or redistributed as a competing service without permission. Passage or ownership concerns can be reported to appspeedtype@gmail.com.

Feedback is private unless you explicitly allow public display. By selecting that option and sending the message, you give Speedtype permission to display a relevant excerpt, rating, category, area, and chosen display name. An excerpt may be shortened or corrected for spelling without changing its meaning. Speedtype may decline or remove any submission, and you may withdraw permission by emailing appspeedtype@gmail.com.

6. Advertising

Advertising is disabled during publisher review. If advertising is enabled later, it will be limited to eligible content pages, use an appropriate consent flow where required, and be described in the Privacy Policy before activation.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect loss arising from unavailable features, deleted browser data, inaccurate practice results, or use of a score as a formal qualification.

8. Changes and contact
